Sustainable Tourism applied when visiting a city like Lima
Lima is a very modern and huge city, with more than 8 million inhabitants, immigrants from all over the world, and with an important legacy involving gastronomy, music, UNESCO sites, traditions, history and cultural manifestations. Lima has a wide variety of experiences to offer to the visitor; but... can we apply sustainable tourism when visiting a huge and modern city?
Lima in its 476th anniversary
After 476 years of the Spanish Foundation, Lima reborns with great expectations. A great economy climate after having the stock market in Lima (or BVL, Bolsa de Valores de Lima) ending as the most profitable in 2010, with a new Mayor, first time a woman, Mrs. Susana Villaran
Mario Vargas Llosa, proudly a Peruvian to the World
Great Mario Vargas Llosa was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Literature 2010. A prize well deserved for its great work and discipline. His speech given in Stockholm caught my attention as he highlights the importance of family and his social environment, which without it he would not have been able to write those great books. A great deal to think.
Meaningful & Authentic Experiences
Lima Mentor is always trying to improve, always in constant change. A new season will be starting soon. We would like to focus our tours in Lima so that they offer meaningful and authentic experiences. It is not only that visitors will go to the downtown of Lima to take some pictures... Is that we want the traveller to learn from our culture in an enjoyable way.
