Experience Lima by visiting old sites such as a pre-Inca temple next to the Pacific Ocean and by tasting the best of Peruvian gastronomy in a local restaurant together with a great Pisco Sour. Explore Lima by walking through neighborhoods and by visiting a museum housing the best of Pre-Colombian artifacts. Your guide will take you to private mansions, and historical houses; and will introduce you to an expert who collects the best of Peruvian handicraft at her own house.

Day 1

We will meet you at airport and transfer to your hotel or right afterwards you may start your visits. We will escape to the magnificence of the Colonial times and to the glorious Republican times of Lima. Walk to Casa Osambela, an architectural jewel of particular interest as it has three floors where former owner could observe the port of Callao. We walk two blocks and we arrive in Casa de Aliaga, stunning mansion owned by the same family since the viceroyalty. Visit the convent of San Francisco with its solemn library and its chilling catacombs. We will finish visiting the Magic Water Circuit Park where we will enjoy a unique show of lights, water, music and pictures. Overnight hotel.

Day 2

Today the stop is the Pachacamac Archaeological Complex where you will distinguish palaces, plazas and temples, some of them built by the Incas. We will drive through Pantanos de Villa (marshes), giving the opportunity to appreciate an oasis of protected natural area in the middle of the city. Drive through the coastline along Chorrillos, historical district of Lima. We will visit this district, one of the oldest in Lima and onto one if its restaurants where the barman will show us how he makes his recognized pisco sour. After lunch, we will have a stroll around the streets of Barranco and become acquainted with its unique history as you enjoy its ocean views. You will visit a renowned handicraft shop which specializes in popular art, and whose host has dedicated years to collecting the best handcraft. Overnight hotel.
