Pre-Trip

We offer guaranteed daily departures, ensuring that once you book a tour, it will proceed regardless of the number of participants, maintaining a fixed price per person. We kindly request a minimum of two participants per tour or payment equivalent to two participants.

Our programs feature authentic and enriching experiences, including visits to local markets, culinary workshops, meetings with artisans, walks through historical neighborhoods, and much more.

Certainly! We specialize in designing customized routes. Simply share your interests and preferences with us, and we will create a personalized tour just for you.

For summer/spring (November-April), we recommend light clothes, sun protection, insect repellent, a sun cap, and comfortable walking shoes. For fall/winter (May-October), we suggest jackets, warm clothing, and walking shoes.

The safety of our guests is our top priority. We collaborate with experienced guides and adhere to all security and health recommendations provided by the authorities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

For most citizens worldwide, a valid passport is sufficient. We recommend obtaining travel insurance for added peace of mind.

We suggest staying at least 3 to 4 days to fully explore the city, immerse yourself in its vibrant atmosphere, savor the cuisine, and partake in cultural and tourist activities.

Don’t miss the Historic Centre, the neighborhoods of Miraflores and Barranco, the Larco Museum, and the Huaca Pucllana archaeological site.

As in any major city worldwide, it’s important to take precautions, avoid poorly lit areas, and safeguard your belongings. In general, Lima is safe if you exercise caution.

The best time to visit is during the summer months, from November to April, when the weather is warm. However, Lima boasts a mild climate year-round with minimal rainfall, making it suitable for travel any time of the year.

Enjoy surfing at the beaches of Miraflores and Barranco, paragliding, biking along the oceanfront, strolling through beautiful parks and protected areas, and observing birds and other flora and fauna.

The most efficient transportation system is the “Metropolitano,” which connects Miraflores and Barranco (where most of the hotels are located) with the Historic Centre. Taxis are readily available, as well as applications such as Uber.

We are committed to accessibility and strive to accommodate all types of travelers. While some tours may be unavailable due to the nature of the activities, we make every effort to adapt our tours accordingly. Yes, we are delighted to welcome babies under 2 years of age at no extra charge. We provide a baby seat at no additional cost. If you require a babysitter or have any other special requirements, please let us know, and we will be happy to accommodate your needs.

Yes, we can recommend specific routes that are particularly enjoyable for children. We offer a 50% discount for children below 10 years old and free admission for children below 4 years old.

During your time in Lima

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and walking shoes, applying sun protection, bringing a reusable water bottle, and maintaining an open mind to fully enjoy the experience. For tours involving boat excursions or flights, please remember to carry your official ID or passport.

Don’t miss trying “ceviche”, Peru’s iconic dish, along with “lomo saltado,” anticuchos” (grilled beef heart), and desserts like “suspiro a la limeña” or “picarón.”

For Lima visits, cancellations made more than 5 days in advance qualify for a 100% refund (excluding additional taxes, primarily PayPal or credit card fees). Cancellations made between 5 days and 48 hours before the start of the service are eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds are provided for visits canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice.  For trips around Peru, please refer to our special policy for extended itineraries. If you require any special considerations, we are open to discussing the details with you.

If the service is disrupted due to external factors such as weather, social, or political events, Lima Mentor cannot assume responsibility. In such cases, we can only refund expenses that have not yet been incurred (such as entrance fees or snacks), but we cannot refund the reserved time for the guide/vehicle.

While Lima Mentor considers this scenario highly unlikely, if such an event were to occur, we guarantee a full refund of your payment and/or appropriate compensation as necessary.
